Passengers traveling to the UAE must arrive at the airport 5 hours in advance

 The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued new guidelines for passengers traveling to Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, instructing them to arrive at the airport five hours before the flight.

Saifullah Khan, a spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority, told Urdu News: "Generally, passengers on international flights are instructed to arrive at the airport three hours in advance. Passengers have been instructed to arrive at the airport five hours earlier due to the condition of rapid PCR test.


According to the spokesperson, the Civil Aviation Authority has provided rapid PCR test facilities to the passengers at the airports and due to the increasing number of passengers, the rush at the airports especially Islamabad Airport has increased, due to which the administration Has instructed passengers to arrive at the airport 5 hours earlier.Saifullah Khan further said that the results of Rapid PCR test are being provided to the passengers at the airport in half an hour.

On the other hand, in view of the increasing cases of new variants of Corona virus in the UK and Europe, the Civil Aviation Authority has also issued new guidelines for passengers arriving from the UK via direct and transit flights.

According to civil aviation officials, "passengers arriving in Pakistan from the UK have been required to undergo rapid antigen testing at the airport."

According to the spokesperson, "the decision to impose this condition on passengers coming from the UK has been taken in the light of the NCOC guidelines, which have been in force since December 21."

He added that it would also apply to passengers receiving both doses of the corona vaccine.
