Thirty-eight Muslims have been sentenced to death in connection with a bomb blast in the Indian state of Gujarat.
According to Indian media, a special court in Gujarat has sentenced 38 Muslims to death and 11 to life imprisonment in connection with the 2008 Ahmedabad bombings.

A special Gujarat court has completed a trial against 77 people in the Ahmedabad blasts case last year. Of these, 49 were named as accused while 28 were acquitted.
The 2008 blasts in Ahmedabad killed 56 people and injured 200, while police accused a Muslim group of being involved.
