Britain and Germany announce sanctions on Russia over Ukraine conflict

 LONDON: Britain has begun imposing sanctions on Russia following President Vladimir Putin's announcement that two Ukrainian provinces would be recognized as independent states and send troops there.


According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced the freezing of the assets of three billionaire Russian businessmen, Gnadey Tamshenko, Boris Rottenberg and Ego Rotenberg.



Prime Minister Boris Johnson has banned the three businessmen from entering the UK, while barring British citizens and companies from dealing with them.
