Japan is relying heavily on imports from China, according to a survey by the Japanese government.
The Cabinet Office has reviewed the countries from which Japan imports products for the year 2019.
Of the more than 2,600 items imported into Japan, more than half came from the same country. More than 1,100 items were manufactured in China.
The items in the survey are categorized by nature. 99% of laptops and tablet computers shipped to Japan came from China. The proportion was 86% in mobile telephones and 62% in computer parts.
According to Cabinet Office officials, Japan's excessive reliance on Chinese products could affect Japan's supply and transportation disruptions in China.
