New Delhi: Thirteen students of a government school in Karnataka boycotted the exams as they were not allowed to take exams with hijab.
According to Indian media, the administration of a government school in Shiva Moga district of Karnataka demanded the students to take off their hijab to sit for the exams.
Thirteen schoolgirls boycotted exams instead of taking off their hijabs. The students said that they had repeatedly requested the school principal and administration to allow them to take the exam with hijab but they did not heed the request.
The parents of the students, while supporting their daughters, said that they would not allow their daughters to attend classes without hijab.
