Saudi Arabia: Why More Than 14,000 Immigrants Arrested?

 Riyadh: Saudi police have arrested more than 14,000 foreign nationals for violating labor laws and residency.


According to Arab media, Saudi security forces conducted a previous operation against the migrants in which those violating labor laws and residency were arrested.



The report said that out of the arrested persons, 7708 foreigners were found violating residency laws, 1791 persons were found violating labor laws and 4971 persons were found violating border laws.


According to the Saudi police, 31 percent of border violators are Yemenis, 65 percent are Ethiopians and 4 percent are citizens of other countries.
