Unusual decline in wheat prices

 KARACHI: Wheat prices are witnessing a phenomenal decline, with the open market recording a decline of Rs 8 in one week.

According to the details, the trend of declining wheat prices in the open market is continuing. During the last one week, wheat prices have declined by Rs. 8.


In this regard, the sources said that the price of wheat was further reduced by Rs 2 to Rs 63 per kg. The government provided one lakh tonnes of wheat to the flour mills.

According to sources, even after the supply of government wheat, the flour mills did not reduce the prices. Fine flour of flour mills is being sold at Rs.

Flour is not available in the market at the official rate of Rs. 55 per kg.

The sources further said that 169 sacks or 1200 tons of wheat were provided to 129 atachakis, the monthly requirement of 129 atachakis is 20,000 tons.
