Riyadh: The Makkah Mukarramah Municipality has issued a schedule of violations and fines in public places. According to Saudi media, the amount of fines will be doubled for repeating violations.
In this regard, the spokesperson of the municipality said that setting fire in the parks is a violation of rules and regulations and a punishable act for which a fine of 4000 riyals will be imposed.
There will be a fine of 200 riyals for walking on the walking track or throwing rubbish from the window of a car, 500 riyals for chalking and 1000 riyals for setting up stalls in public places without permission.
The municipality has said that there will be a fine of 4,000 riyals for damaging children's swings and 10,000 riyals for uprooting plants, flowers or grass.
The municipality has said that public places are the property of all and it is incumbent on everyone to protect them and leave the place as it was before.
