MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Remy Sen, who gained fame from the Indian film 'Hangama', has been cheated out of crores.
According to Indian media, a businessman has committed fraud of Rs 41.4 million with actress Remy Sen. The businessman had taken the money from the actress under the pretext of investing in his new business and promised to pay 30 to 40 percent interest on the money.
According to media reports, 40-year-old actress Remy Sen, whose real name is Shabha Mitra, also runs a production house. The actress met alleged businessman Ronak Vyas in a gym in 2019 and then the two gradually became friends.
Businessman Ronak Vyas told the actress that he was going to start a new business and lured actress Remy to invest in this business. Vyas also promised a 30-40% profit to Remy Sen.
Actress Remy Sen invested a total of Rs 41.4 million between February 2019 and November 2020. And when he demanded his money from the businessman, he stopped taking Remy Sen's phone calls.
Later, when the actress found out that businessman Ronak Vyas had never started a business with her money and misused the money, she was shocked and approached the police. Mumbai's Khar police have registered an FIR against actress Remy Sen.
