Saudi Arabia has launched a promotional campaign to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
Riyadh Royal Commission Executive Chairman Fahad Al-Rasheed said during the closing ceremony of the Saudi Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 that the Saudi Pavilion has won several awards.
According to the state-run news agency SPA, Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced on October 29, 2021 that Saudi Arabia had made a formal request to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
The executive chairman of the Riyadh Royal Commission said that during the Dubai Expo, millions of visitors have been introduced to the Kingdom's development schemes in the Saudi pavilion.
"Riyadh is embarking on a journey to become a global city," he said. All energies will be used for this. The city of Riyadh will be hosting the Expo 2030 with new projects.
"Riyadh is building the world's largest public transport network, a major tree-planting project is being implemented, and Riyadh will be transformed into an open art gallery," he said.
"The arrival of millions of visitors to the Saudi pavilion at Expo Dubai is a testament to the fact that people from all over the world are interested in the kingdom, its culture and its great heritage," he said.
He said that the kingdom was on a journey of change under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince. The Riyadh Royal Commission is responsible for the transformation mission in the capital and is leading the expo hosting campaign for Riyadh.
Remember that five countries are in the running to host Expo 2030: Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Italy, Ukraine and Russia.
The closing ceremony of the Saudi Pavilion at Expo Dubai has been a means of introducing millions of visitors to the ancient history of the kingdom, its cultural diversity and geographical diversity.
