Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has been instructed to ban live broadcasts of prayers from mosques and to keep the volume of loudspeakers muted for the call to prayer.
According to Arab media, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has issued instructions to mosques in the context of Ramadan, according to which outdoor loudspeakers in mosques can be used only for adhan and iqamah.
The ministry also directed that the volume of amplifier for azan on loudspeaker should not exceed one third. Similarly, the use of cameras in mosques for filming imams and worshipers during prayers was also banned.
The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs also said in the directive that the mosque administration must first obtain approval for breaking the fast. Similarly, non-governmental organizations have been asked to approach the imams of the mosques for breaking the fast in the mosques.
Similarly, private groups and individuals organizing Iftar parties have also been requested by the municipality to buy food from licensed shops, avoid extravagance and avoid wasteful spending.
It should be noted that the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has demanded those who observe the month of Ramadan on Friday, April 1, to submit evidence. Astronomically, this year's Ramadan in Saudi Arabia will begin on April 2.
