Pinwell Farmhouse Case; Big blow to Salman Khan from the court

Mumbai: Bollywood's Sultan Salman Khan received a major blow from the court.

In Salman Khan's Panvel Farmhouse case, the court has said that Salman Khan's claim of defamation against his neighbor is not correct as Salman Khan could not prove that Ketan Kakkar was talking about him in the interview.

Salman Khan had filed a defamation suit against his neighbor Ketan Kakkar. Mumbai's civil court has said that the statement of Salman Khan's neighbor Ketan Kakkar is proved by documentary evidence. The court also said that Salman could not prove that Ketan Kakkar was talking about him in the aforementioned 'defamatory' video interview against which Salman Khan had objected.

It is to be noted that Salman Khan had filed a defamation suit against one of his neighbors Ketan Kakkar who owns land near Salman Khan's Panvel Farm House. The actor had accused his neighbor of making defamatory statements against him and his family which were later uploaded on YouTube.

Earlier, Salman Khan had filed a petition to stop Ketan Kakkar from posting any material on social media, which was rejected by a Mumbai court last week. Additional Sessions Judge Anil Ladhad had rejected Salman Khan's application in which Salman Khan had sought an interim order from the court to stop Ketan Kakkar from posting or uploading any material against him and his family. To be given

It may be recalled that Salman Khan's neighbor Ketan Kakkar owns a piece of land on a hill adjacent to Salman Khan's farmhouse in Panvel in Raigarh district near Mumbai. According to Salman Khan's defamation suit, Ketan Kakkar had made defamatory remarks against the actor in an interview given to a YouTuber (who posted the video on the app).

Salman Khan's lawyer Pradeep Gandhi had argued in court that Kakkar had made false and defamatory allegations in the video, post and tweet. The lawyer had told the court that Ketan Kakkar had tried to buy a plot with Salman Khan's farmhouse but the authorities canceled the transaction on the ground that it was illegal. Ketan Kakkar started making false allegations that the transaction was canceled at the behest of Salman Khan and his family.

On the other hand, the lawyers of Salman Khan's neighbor Ketan Kakkar claimed that Ketan Kakkar had bought the land in 1996. He retired in 2014 and wanted to stay there, but could not reach his land because of Salman Khan and his family.

After reviewing the tweets and videos on the record, the judge observed that Salman Khan did not explain how the hints in the tweets were related to him.
