Russia will win in Ukraine, Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed a packed football stadium on Friday, calling the attack on Ukraine "justified." He told millions of people waving the Russian flag that all the goals of the Kremlin would be achieved.

Addressing a rally at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, Putin said: "We know what to do, how to do it, and what the cost will be. And we will achieve all our goals successfully. "

He described the war in Ukraine as a "special military operation" and said that the troops were fighting with enthusiasm, a sign of Russian unity.

According to him, "shoulder to shoulder, they help each other, support each other, and sacrifice their lives to save each other like brothers when needed." We haven't seen that kind of unity in a long time. "

While Putin was delivering his speech, state television cut short his speech and showed recorded footage of national anthems. But, later, Kremlin leaders reappeared on screen.

The RIA Novosti news agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying that "due to a technical glitch in the server, Putin's speech was cut off from television."
