The Israeli Prime Minister will pay his first official visit to India

 Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will visit India in April to mark the completion of 30 years of diplomatic relations between India and Israel.

According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited him to pay an official visit to India during his first meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister during the UN Environment Conference in October.

A statement from Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's office said the visit was aimed at strengthening the alliance between the two countries, building deeper bilateral ties and discussing cooperation in economic, trade and technological fields.


During the visit, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is expected to meet with senior Indian officials and representatives of the local Jewish community.

Naftali Bennett praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's desire to restore relations between India and Israel.

The Israeli Prime Minister said that "Indian and Jewish peoples have a deep connection between two unique cultures, which depend on respect and meaningful sharing."
