2.9 million doses of Lumpy Skin Vaccine have reached Pakistan

 The total number of vaccinations requested by the Sindh department is 4 million. The vaccine will be given to cattle free of cost by the provincial government.

The vaccination process has been planned for the past two weeks. Vaccination against Lymphatic Skin Disease will be started from tomorrow. During this time teams consisting of 400 doctors and 600 paramedical staff have been formed.



Cattle from different districts of Sindh will be vaccinated, Thames cattle will continue to be vaccinated by turning to cattle farms and the target will be achieved in next ten to fifteen days.


The vaccination will be prepared by the Sindh government in the next eight to nine months. Funds have also been provided by the Sindh government for more equipment. Work on vaccination will be done under a complete plan.


The goal of vaccination will be achieved as soon as possible through teams consisting of doctors and paramedical staff. It is to be noted that so far more than 32,000 cattle have been affected by Lumpy Skin Disease in the province out of which 322 have died.


According to DG Livestate Nazir Kalhoro, cattle from Karachi to Kashmore will be vaccinated.
