Ibrahim al-Jarwan, chairman of the UAE Astronomical Union, said: "There will be 30 days of Ramadan this year, and Eid al-Fitr is likely to be on Monday, May 2, 2022.
"The Eid moon is likely to form between 12:28 pm on Saturday and Sunday," he said.
According to Al-Emarat Al-Youm, Ibrahim Al-Jarwan said that "the moon that will appear when the sun sets on Sunday evening will be 18 and a half hours after its birth."
"The moon will be clearly visible in all Arab countries on Sunday evening," he said. Thus, Sunday will be the 30th fast of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday.
