One million dollars from the 261-hour ice hockey competition

 Alberta: Forty players took part in an indoor ice hockey match in Canada, setting a new world record by continuing the game for 261 hours, with the aim of somehow raising funds for the treatment of children.


By the end of the match,  1 million had been raised for sick children, but the Guinness Book of World Records also called the competition a new world record. This unique competition was called 'Hockey Marathon for Kids'.


However, the competition also broke an old record that had been set in the United States. According to the details, a similar hockey game was held in Buffalo area of ​​New York which was running continuously for 252 hours. However, the entire amount of the new competition, which amounts to one million dollars, will be given to the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation.

Proceeds from this extraordinary ice hockey competition will be spent on children with cancer in particular. The game started on the night of March 31 and continued for the eleventh consecutive day. Then it ended with the sound of a siren. People cheered when the game was over.


It took the teams a month to prepare this record. All the players in the game got very little time to rest but whenever they thought of sick children, they picked up hockey and started playing. However, many players were injured but they continued their mission regardless.
