Alexandria: Egypt continued its efforts despite losing half a leg above the knee by a brave swimmer and has now won two Guinness Book of World Records titles.
The 31-year-old Omar Hijaz is also credited with being the first to cover the longest distance underwater in one breath and the longest distance in a single breath with fins. Both records have been verified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Omar traveled 185 feet in one breath. Then he tried to swim with his wings on his feet and set a new record by covering a distance of 251 feet. He is very happy with his success and wrote on Instagram that no one can stop his journey because he has a lot of help, support and love from friends, family and his assistant coach.
In 2015, he was associated with the bank when his motorcycle crashed in the Sinai Valley and he lost it forever when a car hit his leg. He had to stay in the hospital for several weeks after his leg was amputated, but his life became very difficult, including going to the bathroom.
Omar had many examples of courage, including Faisal Al-Musawi, a Kuwaiti confined to a wheelchair, who made a name for himself in scuba diving. Another example was the Lebanese court, which set a world record for sitting on a wall without losing a leg.
He started learning to swim and worked hard to express his frustration, frustration and anger. After that his own body supported Omar Hijazi and now the world itself is amazed by his ability and he has also set two new records.
