The UN should take immediate action against Russia or dissolve it, says Ukrainian President

 GENEVA: Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said in an emotional address to the UN Security Council that "if we cannot take immediate action against Russia, we must dissolve the Security Council."



According to the World News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the UN Security Council on a video link. The Security Council has 15 members, while Russia has five permanent members.


President Zelensky was shocked to learn of the massacre by Russian forces in the town of Bucha in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and the discovery of 450 bodies in a mass grave. And demanded that the United Nations take immediate action against Russia or that the institution itself be dissolved.
