Harvard: A survey has found that overeating is also an invitation to diabetes, and the risk of type 2 diabetes can be avoided if vegetables are used properly as a diet.
Experts say it is important to include fruits, vegetables, legumes, green tea and pulses in your daily diet.
It is also important to avoid sugary drinks, fast food and poultry foods as much as possible. Frank Ho, a professor at Harvard TH China School, and his colleagues conducted a lengthy and interesting study in this regard, the details of which were published April 8 in Dibitology.
In this regard, three large databases belonging to the United States were used. This included 10,600 people with an average age of 54 years and a white race. The body mass index (BMI) of all participants was 25.06. It has been found that people who eat meat are more prone to type 2 diabetes and those who eat vegetables are protected from it.
However, the study also looked at family background, exercise or non-exercise, drug and smoking and many other supportive conditions. The survey was based on a questionnaire that was continued for a long time.
People who ate more vegetables, pulses and fruits had lower rates and risks of diabetes. Although more research is needed in this regard, the statistical significance of this survey cannot be underestimated.
