Ukraine's first air strike on Russia destroys oil depot

MOSCOW: Ukraine has targeted Russian territory for the first time in a month-long war, destroying an oil depot.

According to the International News Agency, two Ukrainian helicopters flew low and entered the Russian city of Belgorod and fired several missiles at various targets.

Russia has also confirmed that two Ukrainian helicopters entered the city in violation of airspace and targeted an oil depot.

The Russian city where the oil depot was targeted is just 35 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

It is thought to be the first such attack on Russian soil by Ukraine since the war began on February 27.

Negotiations are also under way in Istanbul, with the governor of Kharkiv claiming that Russian forces have evacuated several areas.
