Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed outrage at the discovery of mass graves of his citizens and announced the establishment of an agency to investigate and prosecute war crimes against Russia.
According to the International News Agency, the town of Boucha in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv was occupied by the Russian army. A few days ago, the Ukrainian army relinquished control of the area where horrific evidence of civilian casualties was found.
Bodies were scattered in the streets of Boucha, while a mass grave was found in a church grounds in which 450 people were buried. The discovery of the bodies sparked a wave of outrage across Ukraine.
Ukraine's president has accused the Russian military of genocide and set up an agency to investigate and prosecute war crimes against Russia. President Volodymyr Zelensky also visited Bucha.
