WhatsApp's new feature 'Communities' announced

Silicon Valley: Meta co-founder Mark Zuckerberg has announced in a new Facebook post the new feature 'Communities' in WhatsApp, which will be available to the general public by the end of this year.

Zuckerberg wrote in his post that meaningful and useful contacts will be improved by keeping different WhatsApp groups of the same type in the same community.

For example, a "school community" can bring together all the groups and individuals who belong to different classes and departments of a particular school.

General announcements can also be made through this community and different departments of the school can be connected to each other.

In the same way, community committees or community affairs communities can be created and the work can be improved.

WhatsApp also shared a short video announcing the communities feature in a tweet:

According to reports, Meta (formerly Facebook) has been working on the WhatsApp community feature for the last several years, but due to some difficulties, it took a long time to introduce this feature.
