Apple, Google and Microsoft agree on password-free login technology

California: On the eve of World Password Day, major companies such as Apple, Google and Microsoft agreed to eliminate traditional passwords and announced better login technology in the near future, with FIDO technology topping the list. In this way, 'Passwordless' technology will soon become commonplace on a global scale.

Without the password, the technology will be able to work on all forums, including mobile, desktop and browser platforms. It can also be easily used for other operating systems including Android, Chrome, Safari, Edge, Mac OS and iOS.

A senior head of product marketing at Apple's platform says it could help prevent password theft and data loss. This will make transparency and better security possible.

Google has suggested that the phone could be used as a central login tool. That is, if you open the phone, or add a password, or add a PIN number, or create a pattern, it will automatically sign in to all services. Now the need to go to every platform and write the password will be eliminated.

It will use a crypto token as a 'pass key'. This token will be created exactly blockchain style. Hacking, phishing and password theft will be greatly reduced as a device will be used as a password. This means that it will be possible to log in to the Chrome browser running Microsoft Windows from the iPhone pass.

The technology, which works uniformly on all platforms, has been dubbed FIDO, which will only work if the phone is unlocked and will be able to log on to all platforms from a single device. In case of loss of the phone, the new phone will be synced with another digital key placed in the cloud. The good news is that there are many platforms with PIDIDO support.

However, you have to sign in to FIDO for the first time and your data and password can be stolen from this very place. Sampath Srinivasan, head of the FIDO Alliance, said that by the end of 2022 or 2023, account technology without passwords would be developed.
