China will defend if Taiwan attacks: US President

US President Joe Biden has warned China that US forces will defend it if he tries to occupy Taiwan by force. While Beijing has responded to Washington that it is playing with fire.

Talking to reporters in Tokyo, according to French news agency AFP, Biden compared the Chinese threat to Taiwan with a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The US president has used the toughest words so far on the Taiwan issue at a time when China's growing economic and military power is being raised.

US President Biden, who is visiting Japan, also held a joint press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

When asked if the US intends to help Taiwan through the military, the US president clearly replied, "Yes, this is the promise we have made."

"We have agreed to the One -China policy and signed it," which Biden said, citing Washington's diplomatic recognition of the Beijing government.

He pointed to Taiwan, saying, "The idea that it can be achieved by force is inappropriate. It will change the appearance of the entire region and there will be a step like an attack on Ukraine. '

It should be noted that Beijing considers Taiwan a rebel province and has increased military pressure on it.

According to Beijing, "Washington is playing a dangerous game."

"When China's sovereignty and integrity come to an end, there is no compromise or exemption," says Wang Vinbin, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman.

"Washington is playing with fire," he warned.

"The United States is playing Taiwan card to control China, but it will burn, according to China's Council for Taiwan Affairs spokesman Zhou Fenglin."

He urged the United States to stop giving remarks related to action, which has already been violated by the principles set between the two countries.
