Denmark: Millions of people worldwide take vitamin D supplements and pills. Research has now shown that if they are taken with milk or water instead of juices and other beverages, they are better absorbed into the body and have additional benefits.
At an endocrinology conference in Italy, Dr. Rasmus Espersen, an expert at Aarhus University, and his colleagues said that only 40% of Europe's population does not have adequate levels of vitamin D. The rate has risen further as people have been confined to their homes in the wake of the global epidemic.
In Pakistan too, a large number of women in particular are suffering from severe vitamin D deficiency. This deficiency weakens the bones, affects the brain and psychological functions and can lead to various disorders.
People take vitamin D supplements and pills for this, however they are more beneficial if taken with milk or water. Experts have done a lot of research for this.
They fed 200 women in their 60s and 80s 200 grams of vitamin D3 with various items. They were given 500 ml of plain water, juice, vitamin D juice, and 500 ml of water (as a prescription without vitamin D).
Immediately thereafter, vitamin D infiltration was observed in blood samples for 2 hours, 4 hours, 6 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours. This research was continued for several days.
The study found that those who took vitamin D tablets with water and milk absorbed the vitamin well, which was confirmed by blood tests. Therefore, it is better to take vitamin D with water or milk.
