American magazine Newsweek has named King Saud University Medical City, King Abdulaziz and King Khalid Hospitals in Saudi Arabia as the best hospitals in the world for the year 2022.
According to the Saudi news agency SPA, the rankings are based on improved performance in healthcare, measures for infection control, patient safety and other measures related to the quality of medical services.
King Saud University Medical City has received the recognition of several international awards, including the Diamond Degree Certificate, following its success in meeting the internationally recognized standards at King Khalid and King Abdulaziz Hospitals.
King Saud University Medical City has also received approval from the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions.
King Saud University's College of Pharmacy and University Medical City have also received approval from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists for an eight-year clinical pharmacy residency program.
The American Society of Health System Pharmacists is the only accreditation body for the program in the United States that aims to develop highly educated health practitioners through training programs that ensure a high level of knowledge.
King Saud University Medical City has also won the American Society for Health Information Management Systems Award for ranking sixth.
The Health Information Management Systems Association classification consists of eight stages that assess the extent to which hospitals are using health information system applications and health technology.
