Riyadh: 3 cases of monkeypox, which is spreading rapidly around the world, have also been confirmed in Saudi Arabia.
According to the World News Agency, since the first case of monkeypox was revealed in May this year, its spread is increasing rapidly and after Europe and America, it is now also covering the Gulf countries.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, the presence of monkeypox has been confirmed in three patients. These three persons had recently returned from European countries.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, these three people have been admitted to the hospital and no one is allowed to visit them. Monitoring has been made more alert after these cases have come to light.
It should be noted that the World Health Organization declared monkeypox a global emergency on July 23, which has affected 17,000 people worldwide.
