New Delhi: A panchayat in the Manesar area of the Indian state of Haryana has announced an economic boycott of Muslim traders and directed the formation of regular committees in this regard.
More than 200 people, including activists from the extremist Hindu organizations Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad, took part in the panchayat, which was held on behalf of the Hindu Samaj. On this occasion, the panchayat has given an ultimatum to the local administration to form committees at the regional level to incite Hindus to boycott Muslim shopkeepers and traders.
The panchayat was also attended by Hindus from other areas besides Manesar, who presented a memorandum to the magistrate based on their demands.
