Scientists concerned over new strain of corona virus in India

 A new strain of corona virus has emerged in a few other countries, including the United States and India, which has alarmed scientists.

According to the American news agency AP, a new type of Omi Crown BA 2.75 has been reported in various states of India including the United States and the virus seems to be spreading rapidly.

Matthew Bannicker, director of clinical virology at the Mayo Clinic in the US state of Minnesota, said it would be premature to reach a final conclusion at this time.

"The rate of spread of the virus in India in particular indicates that it is spreading rapidly," he said.

He said it remains to be seen whether its spread rate is higher than Corona's BA5 variant.

Lipi Thakral, a scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology in Delhi, said the new strain of corona virus has been reported in remote states of the country.

He said the virus had been reported in ten countries, including Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom and Canada.

In recent days, three similar cases of Corona have been reported in the United States.

However, experts say the vaccine and its booster doses are still the best defense against the corona virus.

In the fall, the U.S. government will further improve vaccines against the corona virus to boost citizens' immunity before the coming winter.

According to Matthew Bannicker, director of clinical virology at the Mayo Clinic, "Some people say that despite vaccinations and booster doses, people became infected with the virus, but we found that it reduced hospital admissions and deaths."
