California: Messaging application WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a feature to extend the message deletion period for its users. After the feature is introduced, users will be able to delete their sent messages within 60 hours.
The Meta subsidiary introduced the message deletion feature in 2017, but it only took 1 hour and 8 minutes to delete a message.
The move by WhatsApp comes after Apple introduced similar changes to its iMessage app earlier this year.
iPhone users, who have 15 minutes to delete a message sent from their messaging app, will welcome these changes to WhatsApp.
WhatsApp's Twitter message said, 'Do you think repeatedly while sending a message? You will now have a little over two days to delete your sent message.
However, there is no change in the method of message deletion. Just like the message 'This message has been deleted' was written earlier after the message was deleted, it will also be written in the same way.
