American Heart Association Award for Pakistani Scholars

 KARACHI: Scholars from the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine (PCMD), a subsidiary of the International Center for Biological and Chemical Sciences (ICCBS) on the premises of the University of Karachi, conducted their research under the auspices of the American Heart Association. But Paul Dudley wins the White Award.

Waqas Ahmed, a PhD student at Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD), recently received the “Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award” from the American Heart Association.

An ICCBS spokesperson said that the American Heart Association awarded the International Scholar Award to Waqas Ahmed and his co-authors for writing high-quality abstracts of their research. The names of Dr. Ismat Saleem, Dr. Irfan Khan, Dr. Mohsin Khan, Rida Maria Qazi and Rabia Munir are included.

It should be noted that Waqaz Ahmad is doing his PhD at Dr. Panjwani Center under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ismat Saleem. According to the spokesperson, the ability of these researchers of Dr. Panjwani Center was recognized in the American Heart Association's Basic Cardiovascular Sciences Scientific Session 2022, held in Chicago, USA, from July 25 to 28.
