Death of Ayman al-Zawahiri: America issues a warning to its citizens

The US State Department has issued a warning to its citizens to be cautious while traveling abroad and to always be aware of the situation.

The US State Department said in a warning issued on Wednesday that it believes fears of anti-US activities have increased following the death of al-Qaeda chief Ayman al-Zawahiri in a drone strike in Afghanistan.

It should be noted that US President Joe Biden announced on Tuesday morning according to Pakistani time that an American operation in Afghanistan had confirmed the death of the Al-Qaeda leader.

Ayman al-Zawahiri was not as well-known as Osama bin Laden, the former head of al-Qaeda, but he played an important role in the terrorist organization's operations. He was included in the list of the most wanted terrorists of the American agency FBI and there was a reward of two and a half million dollars on his head.

The US Department of State has said that "current information indicates that terrorist organizations are continuing to plan terrorism against US interests in several regions."

"These attacks can take various forms, including suicide attacks, murders, kidnappings and bombings."

The US State Department has also said in its statement that US citizens should not go to any country to participate in any armed conflict. US citizens are told that fighting for and supporting any terrorist organization is a serious crime, punishable by prison terms and other penalties.
