New Delhi: A 22-year-old man died of monkeypox in the Indian state of Kerala. This is the first death from the deadly virus in the country.
According to Indian media, the number of patients with monkeypox, a deadly viral disease that is rapidly spreading around the world, is also increasing in India.
The treatment of the young man was going on in the hospital, but he could not recover. The health department has formed an inquiry committee into the first death from monkeypox.
The health minister of Kerala says that the death rate from monkeypox is very low and the symptoms of this deadly disease are not shown in the youth.
The World Health Organization had declared monkeypox as a fast spreading epidemic in the world and warned that necessary measures should be taken to prevent the spread of the virus.
It should be noted that the first case of monkey pox was reported in the United Kingdom in May this year and so far the virus has been confirmed in more than 4,000 patients, while the spread continues in other countries.
