Football World Cup 2022 opening ceremony date changed

 Doha: The opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup has been changed.



The announcement issued by FIFA said that the opening ceremony of the Football World Cup and the first match will be held on the evening of November 20.


The first match of the Football World Cup 2022 will be between the host country Qatar and Ecuador, while the match between Senegal and the Netherlands scheduled for the afternoon of November 21 will now be played in Syria.

It should be noted that the 2022 FIFA World Cup is the first in its 92-year history to be played in November and December, with the previous 21 editions being played in May, June and late July.


Israeli citizens have also been allowed to watch matches in the football world cup being played in Qatar.

It should be remembered that Qatar's two Gulf Arab neighbors, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, signed historic agreements with Israel two years ago. On the contrary, Qatar has not yet established normal relations with Israel, but informal relations between them continue.
