How will India be after 25 years? Narendra Modi's plan on Independence Day

 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the next 25 years are very important for India, in which everyone needs to make five promises to themselves and fulfill them.

According to NDTV, while addressing the nation on the occasion of the country's 75th Independence Day, Narendra Modi told how the country can be shaped by the dreams of its builders by 2047.

He recited five promises one by one and urged everyone to follow them and also reiterated that he would follow them himself.

Referring to the first pledge, he said that India should join the ranks of developed countries in the next 25 years.

"I ask the youth to dedicate the next 25 years of their lives to the country, we will work together for all humanity."

Regarding the second point, we should not try to be like others.

"Sometimes our talent is hindered by language barriers, we should be proud of every language in the country." We don't need any validation from the world, we need to make our identity as an important nation.

Referring to the third point, he said that we should be proud of our heritage.

"Only when we stay connected with our roots can we fly high and be useful to the whole world."

According to Narendra Modi, we must unite for the betterment of our nation, equality is the cornerstone of India's development.

He said that we are all united on the slogan of 'India first'.

Referring specifically to women's equality, he said that respect for women is an important pillar for a developed India, and we must further enhance 'Nari Shakti' (women's empowerment).

Similarly, the fifth promise is related to the duties of citizens.

He urged the citizens that they should save electricity and water.

"If we adhere to it, we will be able to reach our desired goals in the coming days."

He said that this responsibility is imposed on every citizen including Prime Ministers and Prime Ministers.

"Every nation that has discipline develops, if everyone fulfills their responsibilities, India can develop very quickly."
