The Saudi Ministry of Local Government, Rural and Settlement Affairs has banned the 'Profession License' for the workers of various commercial establishments. It will be implemented from June 1, 2023.
According to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural and Settlement Affairs, the Ministry of Local Government, Rural and Settlement Affairs says that the worker of any type of business must obtain a 'Profession License' from June 1, 2023. Without it, he will not be allowed to do the relevant business.
The Ministry has said that this license will be necessary for issuing and extending permits for professional activities and business establishments. This work will be done with the support of the profession test program of the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare."Profession license for certain commercial activities will be taken as a basic condition for issuance and extension of business permit," said the Ministry of Local Government.
The Ministry says that the presence of at least one profession license holder in the business establishment shall be mandatory so that the business is conducted in a professional manner and other officials in the establishment benefit from his experience and qualifications.
The ministry has asked business owners to issue professional licenses to their employees at the earliest opportunity so that work is not suspended during the issuance or extension of the license of their establishments.
The ministry says that the ban on professional licenses will improve the competitive environment among business institutions. Thanks to this, the employees of the enterprises will develop the ability to obtain the profession test certificate from the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare.
The Ministry is deciding the profession test for 81 professions. This license can be easily obtained. A training course is required for this. Those who complete the course will be given a profession license after fulfilling the prescribed conditions.
