Saudi players won four titles in the World Chess Olympiad

 Selected Saudi chess heroes have won four titles by participating in the World Olympiad in Chennai India 2022. The World Olympiad was held in Chennai from July 28 to August 10.

According to Al-Arabiya Net, Ahmed Al-Thubaiti, Abdullah Al-Mutairi, Ahmed Al-Rahili, Abdul Aziz Zamil and Ahmed Al-Harishi from Saudi Arabia participated in the World Olympiad in Chennai. Among the women, Dalia Al-Samiri, Badour Al-Shalash, Asma Al-Jabri, Afnan Al-Qubaishi and Nadi Al-Mahna took part.
The organization's technical director Abdur Rahman Thamami and the team's trainer Muhammad Haddosh were also present.

The Ladies Green Chess Team won two awards in the first international competition outside the Kingdom. She was close to winning the World Olympiad gold medal but missed by one point.

Dalia Al-Samiri received the WFM award. She got the honor after five consecutive wins while Asma Al-Jabri took the WCM title.

Among the Saudi players, Ahmed Al-Rahili won the title of FM, while Ahmed Al Harithi, who was less than 18 years old, won the title of CM.

Abdullah al-Wahshi, the head of the Saudi team, congratulated the team on its success and said that you have achieved a great success by participating in the competition with 190 teams from 180 countries.
