The international community should give confidence to the Taliban government and restore relations, China

BEIJING: China has urged the international community to start talks with the Taliban to give confidence to Afghanistan's new government.

According to the World News Agency, China's representative to the United Nations, Zhang Jun, has asked on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the establishment of the Taliban government in Afghanistan that the international community should restore relations to provide confidence and guidance to the new administration.

Zhang Jun, China's representative to the nations, added that the former leadership of Afghanistan should also benefit the country with their experiences. Their responsibilities do not end with the end of the government.

The Chinese delegate criticized the US and said that the frozen Afghan funds should be handed over to the central bank of the country immediately. No country has any justification to freeze assets of Afghanistan.

It should be noted that China has not yet recognized the Taliban government established in August last year, but China has restored diplomatic relations with them.
