Two more ships have departed from Ukraine's Black Sea ports with large shipments of agricultural grain.
According to Reuters news agency, Turkey's Ministry of Defense has stated that the total number of ships that have departed from Ukraine under the UN-brokered agreement has reached 16.
A second Marshall Islands-flagged ship carrying 3,000 tons of sunflower seeds has left the Ukrainian port of Thuasi for the Turkish coastal city of Tekirdag.
The statement added that another ship is being sent from Turkey to Ukraine for the purchase of grain.
The report states that in the month of August, 16 ships have left the port of Ukraine with 450,000 tons of goods so far.
An agreement ensures the safety of ships passing through Ukrainian waters.
In July, an agreement was signed by Ukraine, Turkey and Russia under the auspices of the United Nations.
Under this agreement, grain exports from Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea, which had been suspended for five months due to the Russia-Ukraine war, were allowed to resume.
Ukraine hopes to increase its seaborne exports of grain and other agricultural products to more than 3 million tons per month in the near future.
