California: Instant messaging application WhatsApp is going to introduce 'stealth mode' for users. Using this feature, users will be able to determine who can see them online on WhatsApp and who can't.
The feature is one of three new privacy features announced by Meta founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg.
"We will continue to introduce new ways to protect users' messages and keep conversations private," Zuckerberg said.According to Meta's subsidiary WhatsApp, these three new privacy tools are being introduced as an additional security dimension when sending messages.
Zuckerberg said that the new privacy features being introduced in WhatsApp include removing from groups without anyone knowing, controlling who can see you online and who can't, and opening only once. Including not being able to take screenshots of messages.
WhatsApp will introduce a stealth mode feature for its users this month after which users will appear online only in front of their chosen people.
