Foreigner's personal business is a serious crime: public prosecution

The Public Prosecution has said that a foreigner living in Saudi Arabia is not allowed to have a personal business without a permit.

According to the Subak website, the Public Prosecution has said that 'doing so is considered a serious offence'.

The Public Prosecution has said that "any Saudi citizen or foreign investor who obtains permission will be guilty of a crime in the eyes of the law if he allows any foreigner to do business in his name."

"On doing so, the said person's permit will be revoked and assets will be frozen, apart from imprisonment and fine."

The Public Prosecution has said that "concealing information, not providing records or avoiding answering their questions from the investigation officers of the relevant institution will be considered as obstruction in the performance of the duties of a public official".

"To do so is also a serious offense punishable with imprisonment or fine or both."
