Former Myanmar Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to another three years in prison

 Myanmar's former Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi, who was arrested on charges of coup last year, has been sentenced to another three years in prison by the court.

Aung San Suu Kyi and her adviser Sen Tunnell were convicted under Myanmar's Secrets Act, Suu Kyi has so far been sentenced to 20 years in prison in various cases and faces more.

Three of Aung Suu Kyi's cabinet members were also sentenced to three years in prison in the trial.

On the other hand, the Australian government has demanded the immediate release of Suu Kyi's adviser Sen Tunnell, who served as an adviser and was arrested 20 months ago.


Sen Tunnell is being prosecuted as Special Assistant on Economy for not providing important documents, which he has termed as completely baseless.
