Three of Aung Suu Kyi's cabinet members were also sentenced to three years in prison in the trial.
On the other hand, the Australian government has demanded the immediate release of Suu Kyi's adviser Sen Tunnell, who served as an adviser and was arrested 20 months ago.
Sen Tunnell is being prosecuted as Special Assistant on Economy for not providing important documents, which he has termed as completely baseless.
