UAE has announced further relaxation in Corona SOPs. The use of masks in public places will not be mandatory. The decision will be implemented from Wednesday.
According to Emirates Illum, the spokesperson of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Dr. Saif Al-Zahiri, said in a statement that the decision to reduce restrictions has been made after there have been no deaths due to Corona for three consecutive months and the health situation has stabilized.

The restriction of distance between worshipers in mosques will end, but the prohibition of bringing dead bodies from home for worshipers will remain in place.
Corona SOPs have also been amended in educational institutions. The use of masks in open and closed spaces has been made optional, while the Civil Aviation Authority has empowered airlines to ban passengers from wearing masks if they wish and can even lift the ban.
Emirates has reduced the period of isolation for Corona victims to five days. This will apply to both homes and institutions.
Statistics related to the latest situation of Corona will not be released in the UAE.
It should be remembered that since the first case of corona virus was recorded in the Emirates on January 29, 2020, SOPs were being banned.
Dr. Saif Al-Zahiri said that the prohibition of green traffic system on employees and visitors in the offices of federal institutions will continue. Apart from this, this system will also be applicable to the workers in the tourism and economy sector. Under this, every month those who have been vaccinated and those who are exempted from the restriction of vaccination will have to be tested.
He said that the prohibition of masks in health institutions, mosques, places of worship and public transport will continue. The use of masks will also be necessary for food service providers and corona victims as well as suspicious persons. This restriction is being kept for the safety of the society.
He said that the new green traffic system will also be maintained in hotels, public parks, entertainment places and economic institutions.
