Gas supplies to Europe will be cut off until sanctions are lifted, Russia

Moscow: Russian authorities have indicated that European gas will be suspended until sanctions imposed on Moscow are lifted.

The statement of stopping the supply of gas to Europe was issued by the presidential palace of Russia, in which the spokesman of the Kremlin said that the only reason for the closure of the Nord Stream One gas pipeline is the European sanctions imposed on Moscow.

It should be noted that Russia initially said that the Nord Stream pipeline was being shut down due to repair work, later the Kremlin issued a statement that European sanctions against Russia and Russian companies were the cause of the gas shutdown.

It should be noted that the Nord Stream pipeline is the largest gas pipeline supplying gas from Russia to Western Europe, which has been operating since 2011.

US officials, on the other hand, have argued that Europe has enough gas to survive the winter and have accused Russia of using energy as a weapon.

Meanwhile, after the energy crisis, the prices of gas and petroleum have increased enormously in European countries. According to the report, energy prices had increased by 30% until Monday, which has forced European countries to find an alternative to Russian gas.
