Hurricane "Ion" hits Florida

 Washington: Hurricane Ion hit the US state of Florida, leaving millions of people in the state without power.

According to the report of the foreign news agency, due to the hurricane, the wind speed in the state is 150 to 200 km per hour, while more than 1 million people have lost electricity.

A state of emergency is in effect in the US state to deal with storms and accidents due to the hurricane, while schools are closed and flights are suspended.

On the other hand, a migrant boat sank due to a hurricane in Cuba, due to which 23 people are missing for whom a rescue operation is being conducted.

Earlier, 11 million people lost power due to the storm in Cuba, while 2 people were killed and more than a dozen people were injured. 5000 houses have been damaged while 50000 people have been shifted from coastal areas to safer places.
