India: Air hostesses call the police after locking the rapist in the bathroom

 An air hostess in India allegedly locked the man who raped her in the bathroom and reported it to the police.

NDTV has quoted the police as saying that the incident took place in Delhi's Mehroli area. The arrested person, Harjeet Yadav, belongs to Khanpur and is also the local president of a political party.

Deputy Commissioner of Police South Chandan Chaudhary said that the Mehroli police station received a call from a woman on Monday, stating that she had been sexually assaulted by a man who locked her in the bathroom. Has been latched from the outside.

Continuing, he said that when the police reached the address given by the woman, she told the police that Harjit Yadav came to her house in a drunken state and sexually assaulted her.

He said that at the same time the police took the accused out of the room and took him into custody and registered a case against him under Indian section 376.

He said that later the accused was produced in the court.
