The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Minerals has issued licenses for 115 new industrial factories during August 2022. Industries belong to five sectors including food products.

Licenses were issued for 14 factories of chemical products and 13 factories of mineral products. 10, 10 licenses have been issued for rubber, plastic and furniture products.
The Ministry of Industries and Minerals said that 646 licenses were issued from the beginning of this year till August. By the end of August, the number of factories in operation and under completion reached 10,707. They have invested 1.370 trillion Rials.
The Ministry says that the amount of capital in the new factory licenses issued for August is 4.1 billion Rials. Most of the new factories are small in size. Their ratio is 85.22 percent while the ratio of medium size factories is 11.30 percent.
