Mistreatment of female actresses during film promotions in India

During the promotion of the film 'Saturday Night' in the Indian state of Kerala, two Malayalam actresses were attacked.

A video is viral on social media in which an actress can be seen slapping a person in the hall.

According to Indian newspaper The Indian Express, two Malayalam actresses were attacked in the coastal city of Kerala when they went to Highlight Mall to promote their film.

As the actors were exiting the hall, the crowd became unruly and a stampede broke out.

One of the actors said in his Instagram post that 'My film team and I were promoting our new film at a mall in Kalikt. Promotion events at all locations in Calicut went well and thanks to the love from the people of Calicut.

"The mall was jam-packed with people and the security was having trouble controlling the crowd," he wrote in detail. After the ceremony, I and my co-star were leaving when someone misbehaved with my co-star.

The actress said, 'After that I also faced similar abuse and I reacted to it as you have seen in the video. I would like no one to have to go through this kind of trauma in their life. Those who commit violence and abuse against women will face action.

The other actress also wrote on her social media account that she wrote, "I had a terrible experience today while promoting my film in the mall. I love collect but someone touched me while exiting a crowded place.''

"We visited many places for promotion but never had such an unpleasant experience," he said. My female colleague had a similar experience. They reacted to it but I could not due to the circumstances. '

It is not yet known whether the two actresses plan to take legal action against the abusers.
