Narendra Modi great man, he is doing fantastic work: Donald Trump

Former US President Donald Trump has described India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'great man' and said that he is 'doing a fantastic job.'

"India has never had a better friend than me," Donald Trump said during an interview with Indian news channel NDTV that aired on Wednesday.

Donald Trump also hinted that he might run for the presidency again in 2024.

During the interview, which was recorded at Donald Trump's golf club near New York, he said, "Everybody wants me to run." I have the most support. It is likely that I will take a decision on this soon.

Donald Trump also mentioned the support he received from the Indian community living in the US and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with whom he addressed large gatherings in the US and India.

He said that I have a wonderful relationship with India and Prime Minister Modi. We have a long-standing friendly relationship. He (Modi) is doing a fantastic job. What they are doing is not easy. We have known each other for a long time. They are good people.

It should be noted that after Narendra Modi was re-elected as the Prime Minister in September 2019, Donald Trump also addressed an event titled 'Howdy Modi' in the American state of Texas.

On this occasion, Modi also raised the slogan 'Ab Ki Baar Trump Sarkar'.

Five months later, Donald Trump also addressed a large gathering in Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat during his visit to India.
